QR code generator for a URL
Generate a QR code that leads directly to a web page when scanned, with control over size, margin and error correction level.
Encodes the URL into a standard QR code using the error correction level you choose, with no dependency on any external shortening or tracking service.
Use cases
- Linking to your website from a printed business card.
- Sharing a link on a poster or flyer.
- Making it easy to open a page from a mobile device.
How it works
- 1
Enter the URL
Type or paste the web address; if it doesn't include https://, it's added automatically.
- 2
Download the QR code
Adjust the size if needed and download as PNG or SVG.
Privacy
Your URL is used only in your browser to build the QR code: QuickToolio doesn't send it to any server or visit it on your behalf. It's also not included in analytics events, which only record that a PNG or SVG was downloaded, never the URL's content. QuickToolio not visiting the address doesn't mean it exists, responds, or is safe.
Frequently asked questions
Does the QR code expire or stop working?
No, it's a static QR code: the URL is encoded directly into the code itself and will work as long as the destination page exists.
Does the generator check that the address exists or works?
No. If the address doesn't include a protocol, https:// is added automatically, but the tool doesn't check that the page actually exists, responds, or is well-formed in every detail. Check the URL before downloading or sharing the QR code: a technically valid code can still lead to a broken link. When scanned, the camera or reader will open exactly the address encoded in it, just as you typed it.
