Cookie Policy

This page covers two different things: the local storage QuickToolio itself uses directly (which isn't cookies), and the cookies that Google Analytics or Google AdSense may set if they're enabled.

QuickToolio uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) for two very specific preferences. Neither is a cookie, neither ever leaves your device, and both are always active without needing consent, because they're strictly necessary for the site to work:

  • qt-consent: stores your analytics/advertising consent decision.
  • qt-theme: stores your light/dark mode preference.

QuickToolio has Google Analytics (GA4) and Google AdSense configured as services. The base AdSense library is used for account integration and verification with Google, and may load components related to Google's consent management; while advertising isn't enabled in the site's configuration, no ad is shown and no personalized ad is requested. The Google Analytics library doesn't load, and no analytics data is requested or stored, until you give explicit consent. Here's how each one works:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): the measurement library only loads, and only starts setting its own cookies (for example, prefixed with _ga), once you've agreed to it through the consent panel.
  • Google AdSense: the base library (adsbygoogle.js) is used for account integration and verification with Google, and may load components related to Google's consent management, including its certified panel once published; it doesn't set ads or targeted advertising cookies while advertising isn't enabled in the site's configuration or you haven't agreed to it through that panel. As part of this mechanism, Google may set a cookie of its own — for example FCCDCF — related to consent management; we don't guarantee its presence on every visit or its absence before you choose, and we don't classify it as an advertising-targeting cookie or, with certainty, as strictly necessary in a technical-legal sense. It's distinct from _ga and from any real advertising cookie; you can see how Google describes it at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

Once Google's certified consent panel is published and visible, you'll be asked to choose before any analytics or advertising cookie aimed at showing or measuring personalized ads loads (managed by Google, not by us). If you decline, those cookies never get set. If you change your mind, you can clear this site's cookies and data from your browser settings and reload the page to be asked again.

You can read directly how Google handles cookies for its services at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
