Technical details
- The slider goes from 40% to 100%. You'll see the original and new size, with the percentage saved, before downloading.
- If the JPG was already heavily compressed, the result may be the same size or even larger; in that case keep the original.
- For much bigger savings, lower the resolution with the resize tool, or use the image to target size tool if you need to meet a KB limit.
- EXIF metadata (camera, date, GPS location) isn't copied to the new file; phone photo orientation is applied to the pixels, so the image doesn't come out rotated.
- Limits: one image at a time, up to 25 MB and 40 megapixels.
