Processed on your device via WebAssembly. Nothing is sent to any server.

or click to select it

Extracts the CBR's content with the RAR engine and re-packs it into a ZIP (.cbz), preserving the content as-is -- no image recompression and no lost files.

Use cases

  • Convert your CBR comic collection to CBZ, a simpler and more widely supported format.
  • Prepare a comic for a reader that only supports CBZ.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload your CBR

Drag the file or choose it from your device.

  2. 2

    Convert to CBZ

Click the button to generate the file.

  3. 3

    Download the file

    The .cbz downloads automatically.

Technical details

  • It extracts the RAR with UnRAR (WebAssembly) and repacks its contents—images, ComicInfo.xml and the folder structure—into a ZIP with the .cbz extension.
  • The images don't lose quality: the ZIP only packs them, without re-encoding. Page order is kept because file names don't change.
  • CBZ is the most compatible comic format: almost every reader opens it without relying on UnRAR. The resulting CBZ has no password even if the CBR did.
  • Split RARs are not supported. Limits: 50 MB of input, 2,000 entries and 300 MB uncompressed.

Frequently asked questions

Is quality lost in the conversion?
