Convert a CBZ comic to PDF

Convert a CBZ file into a PDF with one image per page, directly in your browser.

Processed on your device. Nothing is sent to any server.

or click to select it

Detects and naturally sorts the CBZ's pages and generates a PDF with one page per image, without rescaling them beyond what's needed to produce a valid PDF. No OCR: the resulting PDF is images, not selectable text.

Use cases

  • Share a comic as PDF with someone who doesn't have a CBZ reader.
  • Archive a comic in a universal format.
  • Print the pages of a comic.

    The .pdf downloads automatically.

Technical details

  • Each image in the CBZ (JPG, PNG, WEBP or GIF, in natural order: 1, 2, 10) becomes a page the same size as the image, with no margins or cropping.
  • JPGs and PNGs are embedded as they are, without recompression. WEBP and GIF are converted to PNG first because PDF doesn't support them; an animated GIF keeps only its first frame.
  • The file type is identified by its content: a .cbz that's actually a RAR is converted too. ComicInfo.xml and non-image files are ignored.
  • Limits: 50 MB of input, 2,000 entries and 300 MB uncompressed. The PDF weighs about the same as the images, somewhat more if WEBP had to become PNG.

Frequently asked questions

Is the page order preserved?

Yes, pages are sorted naturally (1, 2, 10, not 1, 10, 2) before generating the PDF.

Does it OCR the text in the speech bubbles?

No, the PDF contains the pages as images; no text is recognized or made selectable.
