Detect faces in a photo and automatically blur them to protect people's identity, with AI directly in your browser.

Uses a face detection model running in your browser via WebAssembly to locate each face, then applies the browser's native blur filter only within that area.

Use cases

  • Anonymizing faces before publishing an event photo.
  • Protecting minors' identity in photos shared online.
  • Blurring background faces in a street photo before sharing it.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload the photo

It can have one or several people.

  2. 2

Move the control for a softer or stronger blur, instantly.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from "Pixelate Face"?

Same detection engine; here the effect is a soft blur instead of blocky pixelation. It's a matter of style — the level of anonymity is similar.

Does it detect every face in a group?

It detects reasonably visible, front-facing or semi-profile faces. Always check the result before sharing the photo.
