Analyzes the position of each word in the PDF to reconstruct rows and columns, including empty cells and tables that continue across several pages. It's not a generic PDF-to-CSV converter: if a page has no recognizable table structure, it generates no rows for it. Scanned PDFs need OCR (outside the scope of this tool) since they have no real text to analyze.

Technical details
- It groups the PDF's text into lines by vertical position (2-point tolerance) and splits cells where the gap between words is much wider than a normal space; a page counts as a table if it has at least 2 rows and 2 aligned columns.
- The CSV uses comma separators and quotes where needed (RFC 4180), with a blank line between tables, and starts with a BOM so Excel shows accented characters correctly.
- Pages without a table structure contribute no rows: the tool doesn't invent columns. Merged cells or tables without aligned columns can come out shifted; check the result in the preview.
- It needs real text in the PDF: a scan has no tables to read. Limit: 50 MB.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with any PDF?
It works best with well-aligned digital tables (generated from Word, Excel, LibreOffice, etc.). Scanned PDFs or very irregular tables may not reconstruct well.
What happens if the PDF has no tables?
The tool clearly says so and doesn't download any file, instead of inventing a structure that isn't there.
