Uses a super-resolution model (Real-ESRGAN, compact variant) running in your browser via WebAssembly: it reconstructs plausible detail instead of simply stretching existing pixels, unlike classic resizing.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from "Resize Image"?

Resize Image stretches the existing pixels (faster, but can look blurry when enlarging a lot). This tool uses AI to reconstruct plausible detail, giving a better visual result when increasing size.

Why does 4x take longer than 2x?

The model always computes at 4x internally; 2x simply rescales that result down by half, so the computation time is the same either way.
