It uses the official UnRAR code compiled to WebAssembly, which reads both RAR4 and RAR5, including the header-encrypted variant (file names stay hidden until you enter the password). When you extract, a single file downloads as-is; several files are delivered inside a new ZIP that keeps their folder paths, because a browser can't create folders on your disk.

You'll see every file with its path and size, plus a summary of files, folders and total uncompressed size. If the RAR is protected, a password field appears.

"Extract all" downloads the full contents; if you tick boxes, "Extract selected" downloads just those files.
Technical details
- Limits: 50 MB input file, at most 2,000 entries and 300 MB in total once decompressed.
- Password: if it's wrong you'll see a notice and can try again. It's used only in memory to decrypt the archive in your browser.
- Split RARs (.part1.rar, .part2.rar…) aren't supported, because the tool opens a single file.
- Read-only: you can extract or convert to ZIP, but not create or modify a RAR.
- Entries with unsafe paths ("../", absolute paths or drive letters) are dropped and never downloaded; empty folders aren't included in the download.
Frequently asked questions
Can I view the contents without extracting anything?
Yes. The button only shows the file list with sizes; nothing downloads until you choose "Extract all" or "Extract selected".
Is the password sent to any server?
No. It's used only in your browser to decrypt the archive locally; it isn't stored or transmitted.
Can I open a RAR split into several parts?
No. Multi-volume RARs need every part at once, and this tool opens a single file. You'll need to join them with WinRAR or 7-Zip on a computer.
