Analyzes the position and font size of the PDF's text to tell headings apart from paragraphs and reconstruct chapters, with navigation included. The structure depends on how the PDF was built: if headings aren't typographically distinct from the rest of the text, the resulting EPUB keeps a single chapter with the text in order, without inventing divisions that don't exist.

Technical details
- It reads the PDF's text layer with pdf.js and takes the most frequent font size as body text. A short line (15 words or fewer) in a larger size counts as a heading, and the most repeated heading size becomes level 1, which opens each chapter.
- Lines are joined into paragraphs as long as there's no large vertical gap; a paragraph that continues on the next page is split in two, and end-of-line hyphens are not rejoined.
- Only text carries over: images, tables as such, bold and italic are not kept. A scanned PDF with no text layer produces no content.
- The book takes the file name as its title and this page's language. Limit: 50 MB.
Frequently asked questions
How are chapters detected?
By comparing each line's font size to the document's most common size: sizes that are clearly larger and recur are treated as chapter headings.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
No, it needs a real text layer in the PDF. Scanned PDFs (page images only) are outside the scope of this tool.
