Technical details
- You must enter all 8 digits, including the check digit. If the last one doesn't match, you'll see a notice instead of the code.
- The check digit comes from adding the first 7 digits with alternating weights of 3 and 1 and taking what's left to reach the next multiple of 10.
- The tool draws the code and checks the check digit, but it doesn't assign codes: to sell in retail you need a code registered with GS1 to your company.
- It downloads as SVG (vector), with the digits printed under the bars; the SVG scales for print without losing sharpness.
